Sumario:We have studied 746 specimens collected in the last 12 years, in order to know the biodiversity of Coleoptera in the Paratge Natural d’Interès Nacional de l’Albera in Girona (Catalonia, Northeast Spain). A total of 99 species belonging to 79 genera and 31 families have been recorded. Records of Omaloplia (Omaloplia) ruricola nicolasi (Baraud, 1965) (Scarabaeidae), Ampedus quadrisignatus (Gyllenhal, 1817) (Elateridae), Tarsostenus (Paratillus) carus (Newman, 1840) (Cleri- dae), Hyperaspis schatzmayri Canepari, 1985 (Coccinellidae) and Sphaeriestes exsanguis (Abeille de Perrin, 1870) (Salpingidae) are given for the first time to the Iberian Peninsula . Studied and revised material is related for each species, an analysis and discussion of its biology is given and 24 of these species are photographically represented. Finally, saproxylic and mycophagous species are listed.
