Descripción
Sumario:[EN] The construction process of a viscometer, developed in collaboration with a nal project student, is he-re presented. It is intended to be used by rst year's students to know the viscosity as a uid property, for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian ows. Viscosity determination is crucial for the uids behaviorknowledge related to their reologic and physical properties. These have great implications in engineeringaspects such as friction or lubrication. With the present experimental model device three di erent uidsare analyzed (water, k etchup and a mixture with cornstarch and water). Tangential stress is measuredversus velocity in order to characterize all the uids in di erent thermal conditions. A mathematical tprocess is proposed to be done in order to adjust the results to expected analytical expressions, obtaininggood results for these ttings, withR2greater than0:88in any case
