| Sumario: | [EN] The raw material of this article are the unpublished drawings of reinforced concrete patents of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries by pioneers of this technology, documented in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. In this article, it is studied how this technical evolution challenged architectural and engineering drawing by highlighting the tensions between the individual character of these drawings and their more uniforming and standard that the leading associations of European graphic standards will try to impose, like the British Standards Institution or the Normenausschuss der Deutschen Industrie. |
