| Resumo: | This is the first of a series of notes on the spiders of Minorca. Data of three species are presented: Tegenaria pagana, Textrix coarctata and Malthonica balearica. A description and drawings of the male of M. balearica, hitherto unknown, are included. Taxonomical characters and afinities of this species are discussed. The characters defining the genus Malthonica are in need of revision, and it is shown that it bears resemblance to the Tegenaria picta-group. |
