Optimal power flow analysis of an hybrid AC/DC system that connects large wind farms to the grid

The main purpose of this project is to develop a tool able to solve an optimal power flow (OPF) for a grid that connects wind power plants to consumption centers. The grid combines alternating current and direct current systems and the solution of the problem is focused on minimizing the losses and...

Sumario:The main purpose of this project is to develop a tool able to solve an optimal power flow (OPF) for a grid that connects wind power plants to consumption centers. The grid combines alternating current and direct current systems and the solution of the problem is focused on minimizing the losses and regulating the DC voltage through a correct integration and formulation of both transmission systems.
