Sumario:During an interview with John Forester and Daniela De Leo, in an autobiographical effort, I describe what I call "the mood for learning", as a positionality, an approach, an attitude. Referring to the community mapping initiative in the Simeto Valley (Sicily, IT), I describe how working with maps has been an empowering process for the local associations involved in the process and for myself, as an engaged scholar.
