| Summary: | Large Wildland Fires (LWF) are out of suppression capability for intensity and velocity. To solve the intensity we can do fuel management, to obtain more resistant forest structures. To solve the velocity we have to work with anticipation, deciding in advance the fire. It is worked by the Wildland Fire Analyst (WFAN) who through Campbell Prediction System Language (CPSL) and Strategic Wildfire Analysis can decide in advance of the fire. This work shows a methodology of simulation to support strategic and tactical decisions. It was worked with the Simulator Wildfire Analyst because it can be used in wildfire operations. First, it is pretty important to define and clarify the concepts of strategic wildfire analysis (strategy, tactics, and maneuvers) to understand and apply the methodology. |
