| Sumario: | [EN] This paper's main objective is to analyze how the video documentary can be a tool for social change. The study focuses on the ARTXIVIU project that is conducting the Assut Foundation and discusses how it can promote social transformation processes. First he approaches the reader to the geographical, social and cultural context in which the Assut Foundation works in order to understand the origin and foundation of ARTXIVIU project. By developing a theoretical framework where different visions and evolution of the notion of social change are reviewed, an analysis of the concept of social change is made in relation to communication. The evolution that has taken alternative communication from its inception, through the development communication and ending in the conceptualization of communication for social change appears. In this research we have tried to create a methodology to analyze the video documentary and realization process from the perspective of social change. In the absence of methodological precedents in this area, it has developed a specific method for this study, combining information obtained through semi-structured interviews and film analysis with an analysis of these data through the operational concepts of change social. The evidence found in relation to the theoretical framework is presented and a discussion on who is allowed to glimpse some reflections and discussions on these results will be developed. Finally, some conclusions where achieving the research objectives will be evaluated will be presented, and a line of research with which to continue the critical analysis of the speeches will be proposed |
