Description
Summary:Cardiovascular health: teachers conceptions and curriculum integration We presented a qualitative study to understand the procedures, elaboration and teaching practice in relation to the promotion of cardiovascular health in public schools in Sao Paulo (Brazil) as well as the difficulties that make the teaching of such content so hard since the integrated perspective. To do so, thirty-two teachers from various disciplines (science, mathematics, language, art, geography, etc.) who develop their work in eight schools in the west of Sao Paulo were interviewed. Our results indicate that the promotion of cardiovascular health is not present in what teachers prepare in their classes, although they have ideas about how they could work with them
