| Sumario: | The article examines the influence of Simone Weil's thought on the works of Cristina Campo. Examining the Italian author's poetic and nonfictional writing, one feels, especially in the 1950s, a complete adherence to Weil's ideas (a model for many writers of the time as soon as her writings were being published after her death). But in the following decades the relationship with what seemed to be a solid intellectual guide first wore out and then abruptly ended. A detachment, without second thoughts, that signals the literary independence of Cristina Campo expressed in the Diario bizantino, her spiritual and literary legacy. |
