The historical evolution that allowed the conformation of youth as a social group is addressed, to later deal with the emergence of different types of youth organizations. From the example of the youth mobilization of the interwar period, the role that youth movements can play is explained to conclude by analyzing the theories that have tried to explain the mobilization of youth.[ES] El objetivo de este artículo es estudiar el surgimiento de las organizaciones y movimientos juveniles y los factores y teorías que han intentado explicar la acción juvenil. Se parte de la evolución histórica que permitió la conformación de la juventud como grupo social, para después tratar el surgimiento de diferentes tipos de organizaciones juveniles.
