Descripción
Sumario:[EN] Community participation is part of communication strategies. In the field of architecture and building it is an essential factor since bringing the public closer to buildings through the description and expression of architectural objects is a necessity framed within the scope of what is a universal concept. In the case of heritage buildings, the aim is to achieve the appreciation of their values by the community that inhabits them and the public that visits them. This article tries to explain, through practical experiences, why community participation in the management and recovery of cultural heritage differs depending on the phase of the project: before, during or after the restoration works.
