| Sumario: | [EN] The author studies the conflicts that arouse between the Benedictine monastery of San Salvador of Oña and the inhabitants of the villages under its lordship during the fifteenth and the sixteenth centuries. He proves that in many of these villages their inhabitants tried to shirk the monastic lordship, proclaiming thatthey were direct vassals of the king, and that quite often their claims were supported by the officers of the Monarchy, although finally the royal judges always ended up by ratifying the monastic lordship. He also pays attention to the conflicts that arouse as a consequence of the rejection of some vassals to pay to the monastery some rents in particular, such as those called“infurción”,“yantar”,“humazga” or “martiniega”. |
