Description
Summary:Electromagnetic compatibility is an essential aspect to be considered when it comes to designing any electronic related product. Compliance with regulations and the aim of ensuring a proper functioning of equipment, electromagnetic compatibility tests have become a crucial step to consider during product development. Due to this, EMC laboratories, like the one at UPC, have a high demand in the industry. To have a better outcome of the tests, monitoring the functioning of the devices, especially during immunity tests, is key. This Master Thesis evaluates the possibility of using domestic monitoring devices during electromagnetic compatibility testing in a shielded room environment. The objective is to determine if a low-cost solution would be suitable for official testing without interfering with test results and without being disturbed by the hostile environment in which the test are performed. To do so a system was developed and validated for this application.
