Descrição
Resumo:The difficulty in determining the exogenous variables of sea traffic, both global and national, arising mainly from its complex relation with the economy, makes it necessary to turn to a theoretical analysis tool which is not always available in the required spatial area. The present paper models the behaviour of Spanish sea freight traffic in order to verify the variables which define it. To do this, we first formalize a theory on the demand for sea transport of a country, which provides useful references for the process of selection of exogenous variables. In the configuration of Spanish sea traffic the decisive factors are the GDP, the Exchange Rate, inflation and industrial production
