Descripción
Sumario:Tertiary deposits in the north of Sepúlveda-Ayllón range (southeastern border to the Duero Basin) are reconstitued by different clastic systems that were fed up by the erosion of the paleozoic and mesozoic rocks of the Central System. The age of these sedimentary systems is Late Miocene to Pliocene. The oldest are folded due to tectonic uplift. By means of a detailed lithostratigraphic research, new stratigraphic units in the area have been defined. Results show the relationships between these new units and other regional Units previously defined in Sepúlveda-Ayllón Sub-basin.
