Descripción
Sumario:In this work we present a methodology for the detection and study of archaeological sites related to the Roman military presence in Northwest Iberia. The methodology is based on the combined use of easily accessible tools for any researcher, from aerial photo analysis, cartography, place-names and oral tradition to field survey. The recent availability of LiDAR data in Spain must be added to the resources previously mentioned. We consider the potential of these techniques in di erent types of terrain, proving their e ciency for archaeological research. Finally, we present and discuss some proposals for the dissemination of the archaeological heritage associated with the Roman army and historical processes related to their presence.
