| Sumario: | [EN] THE TRIPARTlTlON OF OUR MUSICAL UNIYERSE in fine art, folk and popular music still has today a certain importance whitin the conceptualizations we establish in order to understand our musical reality. This classification clearly impinges on the research approaches of ethnomusilcology or anthropology of music and on the internal configuration of musicology as well. Several attempts at defining popular music start precisely from this tricotomic view of musical reality. But, in fact, they are very fragile and debatable categories; and aboye all, they are so close to situational moments of the social and political arena, that their operativity for research on the musical phenomenon becomes very questionable. |
