| Sumario: | [EN] This article analyzes the drawings made by French spies and envoys who visited Spain at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century to know and radiograph the wool washing infrastructures in order to import their methods and replicate the archetype in their own territory. The representation systems they used are an example of the graphic influence of the Encyclopédie of Diderot and D Alembert (1751-1772) on society of the time: the spies took as a reference the types of drawings proposed in this work in order to convey the operation of the machine according to the objectives of each prospect. Furthermore, these representations constitute the only visual testimony of this disappeared industrial heritage, thanks to which we propose the graphic reconstruction of one of the spied complexes in order to recover this unique heritage and promote its valorization and conservation. |
