| Resumo: | This article deals with one of the most original and innovative musical expressions of the new century: the so-called "digital cumbia". It is a new music label used in recent times as a way to describe a postmodern and digitally constructed form of cumbia, which is being performed by a new generation of Argentinian musicians who have grown up in the Internet era. The article traces the history of this particular type of cumbia, paying particular attention to the role of digital technology in the development and evolution of this musical scene. |
