Descripción
Sumario:[EN] The experience of the Caritas Alzheimer's day centre in Rome, “Casa Wanda”, has welcomed since 2017 more than 70 people, who have participated in a programme of activities aimed at their motor reactivation and cognitive stimulation. From 2021 onwards, the Escuela Española de Historia y Arqueología en Roma (EEHAR-CSIC) has been involved in this initiative by holding monthly scientific dissemination seminars. Based on the disciplines of history and archaeology, these events have intended to democratise science and bring it closer to vulnerable groups. The method used is based on a precise format: a small theoretical-conceptual session, carried out in an interactive way, by using objects that stimulate the different senses; a workshop, in which participants create objects related to the issue in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. The results of the experience have been positive. Thanks to an observable behaviour evaluation form, developed after the Likert scale, it has been possible to analyse the different levels of involvement, concentration and expressiveness of the participants. This process has allowed us to improve the successive activities proposed during this time.
