Descripción
Sumario:EMODnet is a platform offering free access to standardized marine data and promoting unified data sharing via EMODnet Ingestion. Its mission includes identifying and engaging data holders with marine datasets that are not yet connected to marine data management centers and may lack familiarity with community data management practices and standards. Through EMODnet Ingestion, these data holders are encouraged and supported in sharing their datasets for secure storage, open distribution, and publication via EMODnet, facilitating their integration into the European Union’s data management framework. Integration efforts extend across EMODnet domains, with Ingestion-Physics activities addressing emerging topics such as river flow for coastal management, underwater noise, and ongoing work on ice-related data.
