Descripción
Sumario:[EN] This paper analyses the phenomenon of diffusion of Artemis/Diana icons on the provincial coinage minted by the mint of Emporiae. For achieve our objectives, we present a study based on the hypothesis of other authors trying to go deeper into specific aspects that have not attracted the attention of research. Thus, in the first part, we analyze the phenomenon of formation of this Roman municipium. In the second part of our paper we reflect on the origin and first evolution of the typological proposal under study. In the third part, we have tried to go deeper into the main aspects that determined the process of projection of the empuritanian monetary icons in the new identity context of the end of the 1st century BC and the beginning of the following century.
