Descripción
Sumario:[EN] This work makes an attemp to map which are national capacities in latinamerican countries. The Regional Office of OCHA developed an inter-agency matrix capacities in the region. Along with this, the Regional Office of UNICEF developed another matrix to map the Country Offices capacities towards having a better picture of the preparation. This work aims to focus in which is the capacity of the countries based in a series of dimmensions (Human Resources, Techincal capacity, Supplies, Information management/Advocacy) within the clusters of WASH, Nutrition, Health, Child Protection and Education in Emergencies. The basis of the wis a survey that emergency focal points have to fill. Because of logistic reasons, there is just one country office participating, but the information gathered is enough to validate the tool. With this survey, it is expected to make a data systematization to give the UNICEF Regional Office a more precise picture of which is the countries capacity to tackle an emergency or natural disaster.
