| Sumario: | The trajectory of Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oíza (1918–2000) moves between the contained expressionism of the Sanctuary of Aránzazu in Oñate (1950–1955), which he built with Luis Laorga, and the sober economy of means of Fuencarral A (1953) or Entrevías (1956) social housing. From the modern tradition of the trusses grid of the Chapel on the Camino de Santiago (1954), to the articulated and stepped forms of Ciudad Blanca (1961–1963), close to Team 10 and the organicism of Torres Blancas (1961–1968) and the Banco de Bilbao (1971–1978) to the formal concern of his later works. |
