The intention is to know and recognize from the student’s perspective on how to face their use of ICT in their own school performance. We start with the approach of Castells (2000) considering that the communicational paradigm little remains safe in the network society so consider the educational field, investigate it and thus analyze a specific situation will give the possibility to analyze and reflect on the role that students and society must take to this dynamic. The study is conducted under a mixed approach, but only the quantitative part is recovered in this text. It was carried out from a questionnaire administered to 103 high school students intending to determine the level of use and access of each student and from it to analyze whether there is a connection of this with their school performance.El presente trabajo, aún en proceso, indaga en las implicaciones que resultan del uso de TIC por parte de los estudiantes de Bachillerato, y la relación con su desempeño escolar. La intención es conocer y reconocer, desde la perspectiva del estudiante, el cómo enfrentan el uso que hacen de las TIC en su propio desempeño escolar. Coincidimos con el planteamiento de Castells (2000) al considerar que del paradigma comunicacional poco queda a salvo en la sociedad-red por lo que, considerar el ámbito educativo, indagar en él y con ello analizar una situación específica, dará la posibilidad de analizar y reflexionar respecto al papel que los estudiantes y la sociedad debe tomar ante esta dinámica./nEl estudio se realiza bajo un enfoque mixto, sin embargo, aquí solo se recupera la parte cuantitativa. Misma que se llevó a cabo a partir de un cuestionario aplicado a 103 estudiantes de Preparatoria con la intención de determinar su nivel de uso de las TIC y a partir de ello analizar si existe una relación de éste con respecto a su rendimiento escolar, mismo que es sólo tenido en cuenta en tanto su promedio de calificaciones del semestre anterior. Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca (España)201720172017info:eu-repo/semantics/articleapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10366/133728reponame:GREDOS.
