| Resumo: | Description of methods used for collection-generation of data: Refractive index measurements: data was obtained using an Abbe refractometer NAR-1T. The temperature was controled with a recirculating thermobath system. 1-bromonaphtalene was used as inmersion oil for PVA film. Transmittance measurements: data was obtained using a Jasco U-770 or an Agilent Cary 60 spectrophotometers. The temperature of the samples was controlled with a Peltier thermostated cell holder, with an external air heating gun (output air temperature of 55 °C), or with a custom-made holder (Sapphire 360) in which the sample of interest was kept between two sapphire windows attached to two cupper sheets, which were connected to a temperature controller. Differential scanning calorimetry measurements: data was obtained using a TA-instruments Q20. A temperature ramp rate of 10 °C min-1 was used for all the samples. Sample irradiation: Irradiation was performed with: (a) a cw laser (irradiation wavelength 830 nm), whose power was modulated using different neutral density filtersand measured with a potentiometer; (b) a solar simulator (100 mW cm-2) placed at 23 cm from the tested material, whose irradiation power was measured with a potenciometer; or (c) sunlight. Temperature measurements on samples: Temperatures were measured with: (a) a thermocouple; or (b)a thermal IR probe. Voltage application to samples: The voltage was applied by means of a power supplier and both the voltage and the current were displaid in the power supplier screen. Electron microscopy data: TEM images were acquired with a TEM JEM-1400 (120 kV) microscope. SEM images were acquired with a FEI Quanta 650 ESEM microscope applying a 5 kV voltage. Size histograms were obtained from the microscopy images using ImageJ software. Stress-strain curves: The tensile test of the films was conducted by means of an Instron 3366 instrument at a speed of 25 mm min-1 and the specimens used had a thickness of 0.2 mm and a width of 15 mm. |
