| Sumario: | This research examines the properties of structures that, to the best of our knowledge, have yet to be studied in syntactic studies: multiple vocatives. Specifically, we focus on the socalled vocatives with multiple addressees (VMA), those that designate the sum of individual entities: María, Alberto, Luis, come to help me. This paper aims to explore the properties of these constructions and propose a syntactic analysis for them. We will show that VMAs always function as calls, so they must be placed above ForceP, namely in Voc(call)P. Their interpretation as multiple will be obtained because they are directly ensembled as multiple specifiers of Voc(call)P, along the lines proposed by Rodriguez Ramalle (2003) for adverbs. |
