Métodos: Se realizó un estudio transversal con 115 participantes adultos mayores, evaluando la fuerza de las extremidades superiores (dinamómetro de agarre de mano) e inferiores (prueba de posición en silla), los parámetros de la marcha (OptoGait-System) y el deterioro cognitivo FES-I, y se analizó la relación con el miedo a las caídas. Resultados: El análisis mostró varias asociaciones independientes con el miedo a las caídas. Un mayor tiempo para realizar la prueba de bipedestación en silla se asoció con puntuaciones más altas en la FES-I (R2= 0,231), mientras que una puntuación más baja en la fluidez semántica y en la fluidez fonológica se asoció con una puntuación menor en la FES-I (R2 = 0,052 26 y 0,035). Conclusiones: Una mayor longitud de paso y de zancada (OptoGait), una menor fuerza corporal (prueba de la silla) y una menor fluidez semántica (S COWA) y fonológica (F COWA) se asociaron con el miedo a las caídas.The aim of this study was to analyse the associations between upper and lower limb strength, gait parameters and cognitive impairment with the risk of falls in people over 60 years of age. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 115 older adult participants, assessing upper (hand grip dynamometer) and lower limb strength (chair stance test), gait parameters (OptoGait-System) and FES-I cognitive impairment, and analysing the relationship with fear of falling. Results: The analysis showed several independent associations with fear of falling. A longer time to perform the chair standing test was associated with higher FES-I scores (R2= 0.231), while a lower score on semantic fluency and phonological fluency was associated with a lower FES-I score (R2 = 0.052 26 and 0.035).
