En humanos, las seis proteínas LC3/GABARAP participan en varios pasos de la formación del proceso. Para llevar a cabo su función, estas proteínas establecen diferentes interacciones con lípidos. El objetivo principal de esta tesis fue estudiar el efecto de la ceramida en algunas interacciones entre estas proteínas y membranas modelo. Se demostró que la ceramida es capaz de aumentar su unión a membranas que contienen cardiolipina, lo significa que la ceramida podría tener un papel en la unión de estas proteínas solubles a mitocondrias durante la mitofagia. Se describió que este efecto tendría lugar en las zonas enriquecidas en cardiolipina, donde una baja cantidad de ceramida sería suficiente para aumentar su unión. Por último, la ceramida aumentó notablemente la capacidad fusogénica de los homólogos GABARAP y GABARAPL1, una vez anclados a la membrana, por lo que la ceramida podría estar implicada en la labor de expandir el autofagosoma.Montes Burgos, Lidia RuthAlonso Izquierdo, Alicia2023202320232023info:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10810/62857reponame:Addi.
