Resumo:At the end of the eighteenth century emerges the category of the self-proclaimed hisendats, a class of dominium utile proprietors or landowners of a certain economical and social potential. In this article, a post-morteminventory is analysed and transcribed. Not only its material affluence such as assets and real estate is evaluated and commented on, but it also approaches the cultural references and literary universes of an eighteenth century hisendat through an examination of the library inherited by Jaume Pont de Cabanes
