| Sumario: | The film-essay is a cinematographic mode put together by Orson Welles as a continuation of his radio experiments. It constitutes the perfect demonstration that movies, far from being the instrument of a mimetic function, both proverbial and reductionist, are on the contrary a complex activity in which images can reach the same expressive quality as literature. A comparative and transdiciplinary reading of film, literature, and radio, enables us to discover new meaningful spaces common to them all. |
