The program of the operation is no less ambiguous, as it merges commercial and ritual purposes. A generic box wraps the dwelling and its extensions, doubling the former surface. Its volume copies the surrounding ones while its shade refers to the conspicuously neutral grey suits of the profession. The public funeral home is located within the cemetery enclosure. It opens the surrounding wall with a timeless colonnade which sinks into the darkness of the building, below the natural sloping ground level. Seen from the cemetery, the new building surfaces like a large slab among the graves.[ES] La tienda existente es una antigua vivienda que parece extraña entre las grandes cajas del área comercial. El programa de la operación no es menos ambiguo, ya que fusiona fines comerciales y rituales. Una caja genérica envuelve la vivienda y sus anexos, duplicando la superficie anterior. Su volumen reproduce los alrededores, mientras que su tonalidad hace referencia a los trajes grises claramente neutros de la profesión. El tanatorio público se encuentra dentro del recinto del cementerio. Abre el muro circundante con una columnata atemporal que se hunde en la oscuridad del edificio por debajo del nivel del suelo en pendiente natural.
