Bishop Museum of Honolulu, I got for study, several years ago a collection of Orthoptera, collected in the Caroline Islands by Y. Kondo, S. Otomo and Z. Ono. Part of the collection was studied some years ago and published (Willemse, 1942), the remaining part will be published now. As far as can be traced from literature, very little is known on the Orthoptera of these Islands and only a few species are describeci from the Caroline Isl. itself.
