Summary:The public space develops in the popular architecture has different characteristics that make it singular between many others that can be seen in a metropolis, for example, as Bogota. The dimension of the street, the quantity and quality of the urban lacks or the modification of the heights of the houses are some of the premises that it is usually appears in the analysis of what the inhabitants constructed in this type of neighborhoods. However, in Patio Bonito, to these initial premises it is necessary to add another type of elements that complement and transform the public: the synchronous decoration of the fronts and the interior spaces, the extension of the sidewalks in the ground floors of the housings, the appearance of artifacts of commerce and ambulant transport, that have a direct incidence in daily thing. In this way, it is sought to analyze the elements that grant identity to the neighborhood and that characterize it of many others existing with similar characteristics.
