Sumario:This dataset compiles comprehensive measurements of seagrass biomass and productivity from global studies, integrating both aboveground and belowground compartments. It includes standardized estimates of aboveground biomass, belowground biomass, total biomass, and above- , below-ground and total net primary production (NPP), reported across a wide range of geographic regions and time periods. Each record is paired with metadata on genera and seagrass bioregion. Aslo, the dataset also incorporates values for the percentage of carbon content in seagrass biomass specific for each genera, enabling carbon stock assessments. Carbon data are aligned with biomass compartments (above, below, and total), allowing for detailed estimations of carbon standing stocks and production
