Sumario:More than 50% of global population has access to the Internet, which is used to obtain information on health-related issues. Dentistry is not an exception and there is a growing concern about the quality and readability of this information which is often used when making clinical decisions. This PhD dissertation analyzes both the quality and the requirements to understand this information in the three topics of dentistry which have raised more interest so far: oral cancer, dental implants, and endodontics. The conclusions of the investigations presented in this volume indicate online dental-related information is frequently difficult to read and of poor quality.
