Sumario:[EN] The prior analysis of the pictorial losses is essential for their subsequent chromatic reintegration, which is why, in recent years, studieshave been developed in the field of Conservation -Restoration in which Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are applied to its quantitative examination.Following this research topic, this text focuses on the application of a GIS, specifically the QGIS® computer program, for the quantitative analysis of the losses presented in the canvas entitled “La glorificación del beato Andrés Hibernón” from the 18thcenturyand from the Valencian school, belonging to the funds of the Parish Church of San Nicolás and San Pedro Mártir of Valencia and intervened in the Instituto de Restauración del Patrimonio (IRP) of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).Thereby, by studying this artwork, it is intended to expose the functioning of this specific computer tool, evidencing at the same time the importance of including the use of GIS programs in prior studies of pictorial works in order to obtain a detailed analysisof the lossesthat provides real quantitative datato assess the specific and numerical percentageand, consequently, facilitates its subsequent intervention.
