Resumo:The sale of bulls of the Crusade was a mechanism used by the Catolic Monarchy to finance the wars against Muslims and Turks from the late medieval times to the modern period. The printing of these indulgences at the press of Saint Peter the Martyr in Toledo strengthened this mendicant convent as one of the most prestigious institutions in the Hispanic kingdoms, not only due to the enormous economic benefits that this business gave to the community, but also because it granted the friars a leading role in the realm of written culture
