Summary:[eng] This paper deals with current sedimentary processes that take place within the Balearic karst which leave proof of their existence by means of the accumulation of detritic deposits, either as entrance facies or inside the underground passages and chambers. The most characteristic assemblage of sedimentary facies present in the Balearic endokarst is described here along with the documentary research techniques applied to their description and analysis. Among the existing sedimentary facies and because of their mass and ubiquity, the reddish silty deposits emplaced by seepage and the dynamics of subterranean waters must be underlined. At the same time, the significant accumulation of boulders and gravels caused by breakdown processes are highlighted as well. The sedimentary record present in the area belonging to the littoral zone is of paramount importance. As a consequence of being related to the specific processes that happen in the coastal mixing zone, where the interference between continental and marine processes come about, the sedimentary record has been subject of detailed research. From a temporary point of view, the sedimentation in the littoral zone is controlled by paleoclimatic changes together with the dynamics of sea oscillations that have affected the karst system along the Pleistocene.
