It is derived from the spatially merged detections of Vaisala’s Global Lightning Detection Network (GLD360) and the U.S. National Lightning Detection Network (NLDN). It provides comprehensive information on both cloud-to-ground (CG) and intra-cloud (IC) lightning events.
