| Sumario: | The coeducational gymkhana, “El intrépido viaje de la pandilla trotamundos”, is designed to promote gender equality and active citizenship through gamification and feminist pedagogy in primary education centres in Spain. The main objective is to create an emancipatory learning environment that challenges androcentric, patriarchal, and colonial biases in traditional education. By adopting an intersectional perspective, the gymkhana aims to foster social justice, critical consciousness, and collaborative knowledge construction. The game involves participants navigating through four distinct scenarios, each presenting specific challenges related to care, diversity, love, and equality. These activities stimulate collective dialogue and reflection among children aged eight to ten. The goal is to challenge traditional power dynamics between teachers and students and promote diverse knowledge, critical thinking, and collaborative knowledge construction through play. Despite challenges from antifeminist resistance, bureaucratic hurdles, and political opposition, the gymkhana has shown significant positive impacts. It increases student participation, fosters empathy, and creates safe spaces for dialogue and reflection. Strategic communication of its benefits and forging alliances with supportive organisations are crucial for overcoming these obstacles. This project exemplifies the transformative potential of gamified and feminist pedagogical approaches in primary education, contributing to the development of socially conscious and critically engaged individuals. Ongoing evaluation will ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness, highlighting its role in promoting inclusive and participatory education. |
