| Sumario: | This article deals with the professionalisation and pedagogical trainingof university lecturers and it is based on an empirical study of profiles of lecturers in Castilla y León. Although university lecturers receive only very little teacher training, the majority of them consider teacher training very important for them to beable to perform their duties satisfactorily. The training activities offered to the teachers differ in typeaccording to centres, professional status, etc., but in general wecan say that there is acollective demand for greater professionalisation among lectures and for greated range of training options at an institutional level. The themes whichhave attracted most teacher training interest are: motioation, student participaiion, teaching methods and specific teaching methodologies for the subjects taught. |
