Sumario:The use of digital tools from the field of geographic information technologies holds significant interest for the reconstruction of historical territories based on corroborated information from primary sources, available in various formats and media. The development of alphanumeric geo-historical databases with spatial representation forms the foundation for what we know as HGIS, which stands for Historical Geographic Information System. This paper presents the results of developing a database with spatial representation and the consequent analysis of the resulting alphanumeric and cartographic data within the context of the so-called Superintendency of Sierra Morena and Andalusia during the reign of Charles III of Bourbon, including its precedents, development, and territorial and jurisdictional consequences.
