| Summary: | [EN] Survey and identification of fungi associated with grapewine trunk diseases. A survey and identification of fungal species associated with grapevine trunk diseases was conducted in vineyards located at Lanzarote island. Fifteen samples of grapevine plants showing typical symptoms of fungal trunk diseases were collected in different vineyards. Fungal isolations were performed from these samples and, subsequently, the identification of the colonies was completed by molecular methods based on the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) with universal oligonucleotides and sequencing of different gene regions. The results confirmed the presence of: Diaporthe ampelina, Diplodia seriata, Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Neofusicoccum luteum, N. parvum, Phaeomoniella chlamydospora, Phaeoacremonium minimun and Pm. parisiticum. This study reports for the first time these fungi in grapevine plants showing trunk disease symptoms on the island of Lanzarote and, in general, in the Canary Islands. |
