Sumario:Starting with Heidegger’s critique of traditional metaphysics, according to which metaphysics is cast as “ontotheology”, i.e., as the logic of being in general and of God in particular, this paper attempts to elucidate the pertinence of this critique to medieval metaphysics. The analysis shows that Heidegger, influenced by the perspective of late Scholasticism, errs in his interpretation of its doctrines, so that the aforementioned critique does not apply in generalized way.
