| Sumario: | A chaotic image encryption algorithm based on a deformation of the logistic map is proposed. The use of a deformed chaotic map has several advantages. In particular, we are able to not only enlarge the key space size but also describe a parametric region for the selection of a key avoiding non-chaotic regions, which is a fundamental requirement for real applications. Moreover, a security analysis of the proposed algorithm shows its efficiency and robustness in resisting attacks. |
