| Sumario: | The main objective of this work is to adapt or develop industrial communication protocols to the open-source based Industrial Shields PLCs. A second goal of the study is to provide a prototype of a SCADA system using Industrial Shields PLCs. Finally, the work developed should serve as a proof of concept and reference showing that developing a SCADA system using low-cost alternative hardware, based on open-source, is nowadays a feasible alternative to traditional and closed-standard automation solutions. |
