At the end of the paper, some of the results obtained in the experiment conducted in the ETSEEI La Salle (Ramon Llull University) are discussed, and some significant conclusions can be drawn regarding the influence of technical examples on the final performance of students.[ES] Este artículo se enmarca en el ámbito de la modelización matemática utilizada como herramienta docente, fundamental en la enseñanza del álgebra lineal a futuros ingenieros de telecomunicaciones. Se presentan varios ejemplos técnicos en los que el álgebra lineal juega un papel relevante, y se expone como pueden ser utilizados dichos ejemplos para conseguir que los alumnos de primer curso comprendan mejor los conceptos algebraicos tratados.
