| Sumario: | The experimental work of this thesis consisted of the development of new ruthenium, manganese and cobalt dinuclear complexes containing described tetradentate ligands of N2O2type and a new decadentate ligand of N10 type. These complexes have been synthesized and characterized by the usual structural, spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques. The catalytic activities have been investigated in the chemical, electrochemical and photochemical oxidation of water and organic substrates and in the electrochemical proton reduction. Lastly an assembly of a cell for simultaneous oxidation of organic substrates and generation of H2 has been designed and developed. |
